I'm not sure how long this has been happening, but why the heck are some sushi places selling ginger and soy sauce seperately??? Time to boycott! There's a great Korean place across from my office that let's you take huge chunks of it as well as handfulls of little sauce bottles... if you so desire. The sushi is very western but at least they aren't stooping to selling sushi condiments... isn't it expensive enough as it is???
I was standing in line at a sushi shop today when a young woman and her boyfriend joined the queue behind me...
The woman said (pointing to McDonald's across the foodcourt), "they say sushi isn't any healthier than McD's... there might be more fat in burgers, but the preservatives in sushi are really bad..." I looked at the rice, the nori, the fresh fish, avacado & chicken that was on selection and couldn't help but wonder what the heck she was talking about! Can anyone out there tell me that the kind of sushi I was looking at was as bad for me as a Big Mac & Fries? |
